Mission
Statement
The mission
of Ashland Elementary School is to create an environment
that challenges students to high standards of learning,
thereby creating lifelong learners
The Arts at
Ashland Elementary is an innovative new public
elementary school program. The Arts at Ashland is
founded on the principle that the integration of arts
education into the regular curriculum is a catalyst for
the academic and social success of all students. Plans
for the school were developed by a group of educators,
parents and community residents who saw a need for new
alternatives for the children of downtown Lexington. After countless hours of
planning, The Arts at Ashland opened its doors in
August 2005. We, here at Ashland, are excited about this
journey and we hope you will decide to take your child
on this journey with us.
